70 Ancient Metal Books Found in Jordan — Greatest Discovery of All Time or Greatest Hoax?

Greatest discovery of all time? Or just a stack of metal cards?

While we often note that many issues in Christianity get very little news coverage, there are some things in Christianity that do get lots of media coverage and the discovery of a potential earth-shattering, ancient relic, ranks right up there. Much has been said and documented about the 70 metal books or codices that were found in a cave in Jordan five years ago. These booklets made of metal with pages the size of credit cards are being speculated as being the earliest recorded Christian documents ever discovered. News outlets are stating that this could be a more important discovery than the Dead Sea Scrolls. They are now finally being turned over to experts for the first time and there is speculation that these books could contain details of the last days of Jesus on Earth. And some “Biblical experts” speculated this could even be the sealed book that was mentioned in the Bible as being given to the Messiah only. There is so much excitement surrounding these relics that comparisons So are these metal books authentic nor is this all an elaborate hoax? And if real, what is the implication for Christianity?

Are they real?

The first and most important question is are these codices actually from the first century AD? And do they contain writings that pertain to Christianity at all? The jury is still out on the first question. When it comes to these “earth-shattering discoveries” we must always be patient as there have been many similar hoaxes in the past. One only needs to remember all the excitement last year over the “discovery” of Noah’s ark by an expedition team in Turkey who claimed they had done the appropriate carbon dating and analysis of all the wood of the ship and it dated back some 4,000 years to the time of the flood. And the entire thing was a complete fraud. In fact, it was such a fraud that the con-men even hauled the wood themselves up the mountain to place it in the position of the ark. So again, always view these discoveries with caution until independent analysis is done.

The 70 booklets were discovered five years ago in a cave in a remote part of Jordan to which Christian refugees are known to have fled after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD. Important documents from the same period have previously been found there.
According to David Elkington, who is now in possession of the booklets, initial metallurgical tests indicate that some of the books could date from the first century AD.

This estimate is based on the form of corrosion which has taken place, which experts believe would be impossible to achieve artificially. And if the dating proves to be accurate, these codices would be the oldest Christian document ever discovered.

The initial reaction has been pure excitement. Jordan’s Department of Antiquities, Ziad al-Saad, was quoted by the BBC as saying that the find may be more significant than the Dead Sea Scrolls (the oldest copy of the Biblical Old Testament which helped confirm the amazing manuscript accuracy of the Bible throughout centuries).

Al-Saad said: “Maybe it will lead to further interpretation and authenticity checks of the material, but the initial information is very encouraging, and it seems that we are looking at a very important and significant discovery, maybe the most important discovery in the history of archaeology.” Elkington has called them ‘the major discovery of Christian history” adding, “‘It is a breathtaking thought that we have held these objects that might have been held by the early saints of the Church.”

However, not everyone is as excited. Peter Thoneman of Oxford University, a lecturer in ancient Greek and Roman history, not only doubts the authenticity of the codices, but according to his own claims, was approached by Elkington himself last year and asked to review three of the metal pages.

Elkington contacted Thoneman through a mutual acquaintance. The Oxford scholar replied that he would be glad to inspect the metal pages to determine their authenticity. Elkington then emailed photos of 3 pages for Thoneman to inspect:

Thoneman responded the same day and stated that the metal pages were fakes (for the full email exchange and images of the photos which were sent to Mr. Thonemann, see here). His email response was the following:

After having a close look at the photos, I replied later that same day:
“Dear David,
A surprisingly easy task, as it turns out!
The Greek text at the top of your photo no. 0556 reads: ΛΛΥΠΕΧΛΙΡΕΛΒΓΛΡΟΚΛΙΕΙΣΙΩΝ, followed by ΛΛΥΠΕ in mirror-writing.
This text corresponds to ΛΛΥΠΕ ΧΛΙΡΕ ΛΒΓΛΡ Ο ΚΛΙ ΕΙΣΙΩΝ, i.e. ἄλυπε χαῖρε, Ἀβγαρ ὁ καὶ Εἰσίων, followed by the word ἄλυπε again, in mirror writing. The text at the bottom of your photo no. 0532 is the first part of the same text again: ΛΥΠΕΧΛΙΡΕΛΒΓ, i.e. [ἄ]λυπε χαῖρε, Ἀβγ…
The text was incised by someone who did not know the Greek language, since he does not distinguish between the letters lambda and alpha: both are simply represented, in each of the texts, by the shape Λ.
The text literally means ‘without grief, farewell! Agbar also known as Eision’. This text, in isolation, is meaningless.
However, this text corresponds precisely to line 2 of the Greek text of a bilingual Aramaic/Greek inscription published by J.T. Milik, Syria 35 (1958) 243-6 no.6 (SEG 20, 494), and republished in P.-L. Gatier, Inscriptions grecques et latines de Syrie XXI: Inscriptions de la Jordanie, 2: Region centrale (Paris 1986), no.118. That inscription reads, in its entirety, as follows,
1 Σελαμαν χρηστὲ καὶ
2 ἄλυπε χαῖρε, Ἀβγαρ ὁ καὶ Εἰσίων
3 Μονοαθου υἱὸς υἱῷ τειμίῳ τὸ μνῆμα
4 ἐποίησεν ἔτους τρίτου ἐπαρχείας

[Translation] ’For Selaman, excellent and harmless man, farewell! Agbar, also known as Eision, son of Monoathos, constructed this tomb for his excellent son (i.e. Selaman), in the third year of the province’.

This is a stone tombstone from Madaba in Jordan, precisely dated to AD 108/9, on display in the Archaeological Museum in Amman.
The text on your bronze tablet, therefore, makes no sense in its own right, but has been extracted unintelligently from another longer text (as if it were inscribed with the words: ‘t to be that is the question wheth’). The longer text from which it derives is a perfectly ordinary tombstone from Madaba in Jordan which happens to have been on display in the Amman museum for the past fifty years or so. The text on your bronze tablet is repeated, in part, in three different places, meaningless in each case.
The only possible explanation is that the text on the bronze tablet was copied directly from the inscription in the museum at Amman by someone who did not understand the meaning of the text of the inscription, but was simply looking for a plausible-looking sequence of Greek letters to copy. He copied that sequence three times, in each case mixing up the letters alpha and lambda.
This particular bronze tablet is, therefore, a modern forgery, produced in Jordan within the last fifty years. I would stake my career on it.

This alone should raise some serious red flags. The first academic who reviewed these supposed “secret books” was able to debunk it and identify it as a forgery in a matter of hours! Thonemann has gone on to say he would stake his entire career on the metal booklets being forgeries.

Additionally, the translations of the inscription on the three pages sent to Thonemann do not seem to even be coherent, much less relation to the life of Jesus Christ.

“Shedding New Light on Christianity”

Among all of the frenzy surrounding the codices is this idea that somehow these ancient writings will give a new perspective or new information on Christianity. But why would this be the case? If anything, these suggestions are misleading because it assumes there are not already large amounts of ancient evidence supporting the life of Jesus and the Bible. There are over 24,000 ancient manuscripts still in existence today and the writings of Plato, Socrates and other ancient legends combined do not come close to the New Testament in terms of the amount of manuscript evidence. And in a cross-comparison of the various manuscripts, there was 99.5% accuracy across the board. What this means is that the New Testament we have today (at least the King James version), is a faithful interpretation to the ones printed in the first century.

So the idea that these codices hold some special Biblical “key” or “code” or some special Scriptural point is not very sound. The descriptions and details of Jesus’ life and ministry in the Gospels already has an abundance of consistent evidence. So even if this codice presented different details, why would one metal booklet outweigh 24,000 documents? And this is not taking into account that we do not know who wrote the codices. Were they Biblical authors? It has not been stated or even mentioend. Again, from a scholarly standpoint, this does not add up. And why would David Elkington, who by his own statements has not even translated all of the booklets yet, claim that this is going to change our whole perception of Christianity? We will answer that below.

The Book Only Shown to The Messiah

Also fueling all the intense crazy about the ancient relics is the speculation that one of some of the codices, which have been sealed shut are possibly one of the sealed books mentioned in the Book of Revelation:

Dr Margaret Barker, a former president of the Society for Old Testament Study, said: ‘The Book of Revelation tells of a sealed book that was opened only by the Messiah: ‘Other texts from the period tell of sealed books of wisdom and of a secret tradition passed on by Jesus to his closest disciples. That is the context for this discovery.’

There is indeed a book in the Bible which was opened only by the Messiah. But a brief study of Scripture will show that the metal codices are not the book:

Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

As can be seen from the actual text, the book that is opened by the Lamb, Jesus is opened in Heaven. It is not a book that was lost. It is a book that is in the hands of God the Father. So to think that these metal codices could be that book is just incompatible with what the Bible states. Not to mention, that many scrolls and texts were sealed in ancient times. It was a very common way of securing that only certain parties could read a document. So this part of the story is really more wild speculation than anything.

Furthermore, what “other texts from the period” was Dr. Barker referring to? She does not say. But this is again an example of the unscholarly approach being taken to this entire find. Jesus had no secret tradition that was passed on. This again sounds like what the people behind this “find” are doing is trying to sensationalize a story and cast more doubt on actual Biblical Christianity.

Who is David Elkington?

David Elkington is an author, researcher and adventurer who definitely a proponent of the New Age Movement. In the publisher’s note on his book “In the Name of The Gods” it is noted that divine beings are basically comprised of sounds vibrations and that the “title” Jesus was just a function of a certain type of sound. To no surprise, the official book description states: “This book will forever change your view of religion and spirituality.” So he is not a Christian or a Christian theologian. In preparing his announcement regarding the relics, instead of first presenting his findings to archeological experts, he hired an advertising firm to do a media blitz promoting his find before it received any critical, scholarly review. Additionally, Mr. Elkington and his wife are already working on a book deal and documentary regarding his quest for the metal booklets. All this seems to point in one direction: money.

Conclusion

From the early signs, it seems that the 70 metal booklets are in fact forgeries. And like the DaVinci Code, “Tomb of Jesus” project done by director James Cameron that was debunked, the numerous books and series on the Gnostic Gospels (which were never part of the Bible) and other heresies, this falls in a long line of efforts to try and cast doubt on the Bible. For Christians, the call here is to use discernment and consider a matter carefully before speaking on it, as we are instructed in Proverbs.We have the full sum of wisdom in the Bible (and more specifically the King James Bible, which is by far my preferred and favorite Bible version to read and study). Yes, archeological evidence related to Jesus and the Bible is exciting. But we must make sure we are careful in evaluating it as being authentic and that it falls in line with what the Bible states.

And for those who doubt the Bible or question Christianity, the real issue is: how much scrutiny did you place on this amazing discovery? Did you ask the same amount of questions about this find, or the Da Vinci Code book or other anti-Christian works to make sure they were verified, substantive and true? I hope so. And if you did, you would see that the Bible still stands as these fraudulent efforts get exposed. And in that hopefully you will see that God, Jesus and eternal life are real as well. And they are all waiting for you in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And that is by far the greatest discovery in the history of this world.

Christian High School Student Suspended for Sharing Faith

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. — 2 Timothy 3:12

The persecution of Christians in America continues to swell. But now some are challenging it. Kenneth Dominguez a 16 year old High School student at Gateway East High School in El Cajon, California was suspended in January 2010 for sharing the Gospel with his friends in school and defying an order from a school administrator to not bring his Bible onto school grounds. As the Christian Post reports, Dominguez is now suing the school for its punishment.

At the time of the suspension, Dominguez was a newly saved believer, who was excited about his faith and wanted to share it with his friends at school. Upon his return from Christmas break, he did just that. But soon he was reprimanded by a school official and told not to discuss the Gospel because of “separation of church and state.”

According to the attorney from the Pacific Justice Institute, which is representing Dominguez in this case, the young Christian man was not disrupting any school procedures. He did not preach during class or shout out to anyone. He limited his witnessing of the Gospel to his lunch time as he sat with his friends. There were also no complaints from any other students or staff about Dominguez.

After the warning, Dominguez continued to share the Gospel and bring his Bible to school. He was then informed by the administrator that he was not allowed to bring his Bible onto school grounds. When he continued to bring it, he was issued a two-day suspension.
As the article stated:

Defending the student, attorney Michael J. Peffer, who heads PJI’s Southern California office, contended, “No student should be forced to leave his faith and Bible at the gate when he enters school grounds. We are looking forward to this opportunity to vindicate Mr. Dominguez and protect students throughout California.”

It seems ludicrous that a school would prevent students from bringing books they like to read onto school grounds. In addition to this being a clear violation of this young man’s free speech based on the facts presented, it presents a greater spiritual issue. Many public schools all over the United States are seeking to silence the voice of Christian students as they attempt to erase any reference to the God of the Bible or Jesus Christ completely. Even though at the same time, public schools are catering to Muslim students by providing foot baths and prayer rooms for them to use during the school day, Christians are not even permitted to speak about their faith. How do prayer rooms for the Muslim faith not be an issue of “separation of church and state”?

Such hypocrisy is just the result of a spirit that is growing in this age. And that spirit wants the church silenced and the Word of God removed from American society — which of course will allow sin to flourish. We do not have to “fight” the system, God fights for us. But we do have to preach the Word as we are commanded by Jesus Christ our Lord. And Christians need to stand on their faith be ready at any moment to boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for this young man to keep his faith through this time and for the success of his lawsuit. And also pray to God for your own faith to keep sharing His message of love and eternal life in an age where the stakes for even speaking about it are getting much higher.

Two Florida Street Preachers Murdered for Sharing The Gospel

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, says a prayer before laying flowers on SW 2nd Avenue in Boynton Beach where two street preachers were shot and killed in January.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.

Although it has gotten minimal coverage, a terrible tragedy occurred on January 30, 2011. Steven Ocean and Tite Sifra, 23 and 24 years old respectively, were shot and killed after sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with an 18 year old teenager in Florida. The 18 year old, Jeriah Woody, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder. The news reports stated:

Woody’s phone reportedly rang and he turned and walked away to take the call. But then he turned around again and started walking towards the street preachers. Sufra approached him and Woody allegedly shot him in the head. Ocean tried to run away, but police said Woody allegedly shot him in the back and then walked up to him and shot him again in the head at point-blank range.
The police account is based on the third street preacher that was with Sufra and Ocean when they talked to Woody. The unidentified third minister had escaped by running in the opposite direction.

Both Ocean and Sifra came from difficult backgrounds and had run-ins with unlawful behavior as teens but turned their lives around once they became born-again Christians. From that point they became ministers and regularly reached out to the youth of their area trying to encourage them to give up the lifestyle they had both experienced and seek a godly life by salvation in Jesus Christ. According to Ocean’s sister: “They go around and minister to boys and say where they came from,” the sister said. “They did that all day and all night.” Their frequent witnessing to gang members, leading them out of a life of violence and crime, led to a lot of resentment of them by gang members in their area and was the suspected motivation behind the shooting according to the Christian Defense Coalition.

Tite Sufra

This is truly a sad event, but a sign of how much things are changing in America. While we have documented the persecution of Christians overseas, where some can be jailed or killed for even possessing a Bible, this level of anti-Christian hostility has not been seen in the United States.

As believers we should lament over fallen saints of the Lord Jesus Christ. But also remember that we too have the same mission and command from Jesus: go forth into the world and spread the Gospel. Despite this tragic end, these two young saints were victorious! It is our obedience that God wants. And they obeyed to the very end.

Where Is the Media Coverage?

With such a stunning crime occurring right here in the United States, where is the news coverage of this event? One has to search and search to find any stories from any of the major news outlets. Why have we seen no comments from the Attorney General about potential hate crimes? Where is the ACLU and other advocacy groups who seek to protect “victims of hate” and discrimination? They seem to be silent in the face of Christian persecution.

Why The Gospel is So Important

Once you are certain that you are a born again Christian, this is your main mission and purpose in the world. The last command Jesus gave to Christians was: “..repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations.. 48And ye are witnesses of these things.” (Luke 24) And it does not require traveling to a foreign country to spread the Good News. It can start right in your own home.

Are you too frustrated with family members to continue to share God’s Word with them? Do you feel too embarrassed to testify to God’s greatness and His grace when at social events? Are you a student worried that your friends will laugh and mock you if you start speaking to them about their eternal destiny? If so, hopefully the courage and bravery of these two young Christian men will inspire you to overcome your own anxieties to witness to those around you. If you are too scared to witness to strangers at this point, share the Gospel with family and friends. If that is too challenging, then just leave tracts in public places where they can be picked up and read by others. We can all do our part to share God’s Word and help plant seeds that can lead to souls being saved.

Pray for strength and also pray for the young man who killed them. that in this horrible sin, he can understand that the victims of this crime were only trying to make sure he would be forgiven for all the sins he had committed in his life, including this one. And as long as he is alive, Jesus is still waiting to forgive him. With repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior, even this young men, who killed two Christians can have all his sins forgiven. And that is the beauty of the Gospel. Spread the Word.

Katy Perry’s “E.T.” Lyrics And Video — Alien Deception Strikes Again

The Eyes Have It -- Like Many Artists Before Her, Katy Perry Seems to Be Showing The Same Signs

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon [money].” — Matthew 6:24

As has been mentioned on the Spirit and Truth radio show, there is going to be an upcoming series on the many pop stars today who use their music and videos to promote subliminal and sometimes extremely blatant occult and satanic imagery. But before the large study is complete, the Katy Perry song, E.T., deserves its own blog. In our most recent article on Alien Deception we looked at the ABC series “V” and focused on several points that involve Bible Prophecy: 1) The account of Genesis 6 describes a time when fallen, rebellious angels took human women as wives and had children with them. 2) These hybrid offspring, referred to as the Nephilim, were a race of “supermen” who started to dominate the Earth with violence which lead to The Lord God bringing on the flood in which only Noah and his family were spared and then instructed to repopulate the Earth once the flood waters subsided and 3) The modern day UFO/alien phenomena if it exists at all is nothing but the activity of fallen angelic or demonic beings manifesting themselves before their prophesied return during the end time’s Great Tribulation. In the meantime, much of pop culture seems to be referencing this alien/angelic phenomena as if preparing society for this future age when the “sons of god” will once again return to the Earth. Katy Perry’s song E.T. seems to be following right along with this pattern.

The Genesis 6 Account

It is very important to understand what the Bible states about evil, fallen angelic beings coming to Earth at the time before the flood of Noah’s day. In our initial article we referenced the Nephilim, the hybrid offspring of the fallen angels of Genesis 6, who came to Earth, took human women as wives and had children with them:

Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

This illicit union by rebellious angels led to the global flood in which Noah and his family were spared on the ark. The angels who committed this sin were then punished with imprisonment in the bottomless pit.

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Both passages reference angels who were imprisoned for fornication-related sins in the time of Noah. The angels who participated in the “marriage” with women were sentenced by God to be imprisoned in the bottomless pit until the time “judgment of the great day.” It is this author’s belief this time period is the “Day of The Lord”, the end times outpouring of God’s wrath on the unbelieving world which commences at the opening of the 6th seal of Revelation Chapter 6. Also interesting to note is that in the supernatural appearance of these beings, their faces are like those of human men (also of note is that the King of the bottomless pit is Appolyon, which is just another name for the ancient god Apollo). And the Bible prophesies that in the end times Great Tribulation, there will be a return of these angelic beings back to Earth and a return to their interaction and attempted relations with humanity.

Aliens are in fact…demons?

It is this author’s contention that what is thought of as the UFO/alien phenomena is actually spiritual in nature. The beings that have been reportedly seen throughout time are angelic and demonic manifestations. Several experts in the field of paranormal activity and UFO’s have weighed in on the subject:

“UFO behaviour is more akin to magic than to physics as we know it… the modern UFO -nauts and the demons of past days are probably identical.” -Dr. Pierre Guerin, FSR Vol. 25, No. 1

“The UFO manifestations seem to be, by and large, merely minor variations of the age-old demonological phenomenon…” – John A. Keel, “UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse”

“We believe that the cultural preparations (or deliberate conditioning) of the world to view our alien visitors as powerful and highly evolved saviors makes the UFO phenomena the perfect motif for the Antichrist to exploit when he ascends to power. His ability to perform supernatural signs and wonders, his comprehensive plan for the peaceful unification of mankind and his connection to or origin from god-like alien entities will engender the masses to follow him into the biggest deception in history.” – published Missler & Eastman, Alien Encounters pp. 295-296

So could it be that what people are experiencing is actually a spiritual encounter? The song E.T. seems to hint at this from the very first stanza.

The song appears to be a tribute to a lover/boyfriend who is an alien. While the song can easily be summarized as just a comparison of ‘an amazing boyfriend’ to an alien, the lyrics have a much more sinister tone:

You’re so hypnotizing
Could you be the devil
Could you be an angel

So from the onset, we see the song getting right to the point: it starts of by saying “Could you be the devil”! The hypnotizing effect of this “lover” is so strong that Perry compares him to Satan himself. This is then followed by the question of whether the “E.T.” is an angel. From the Bible, we can clearly answer both questions with an emphatic “yes.”

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul is commenting on deception. There were people at that time claiming to be Christians and infiltrating the church, but they were preaching a false message that was not Biblical. In explaining this Paul says that this type of deception should not be a surprise because Satan can actually transform himself into an Angel of Light. This is a very important passage because it shows that we as humans can actually see angels. But just because we see one, does not mean that they are actually good. Satan and his angels can disguise their appearance to appear benevolent, loving and full of “light.”

Often in alien abduction scenarios reported on news sites or documentaries, alleged victims of abductions report being pulled into the air or floating up to alien vessels. However the same phenomena is also reported in witchcraft. The clear message is that the “alien” in question is seductive.

They don’t understand you

“They say be afraid..” well we presume websites like these are the “they” warning against this type of deception. But here is where the song takes another very powerful message and plays it off as teen love. Perry comments that her ET is “not like the others” and has a “different DNA.” Once again, we are seeing referenced to the DNA aspect of the alien deception. As described in the “V” series article, there seems to be a heavy emphasis on angelic beings focusing on human DNA once they return to Earth. And we know that human DNA will be a major part of the final end times Kingdom as described in the book of Daniel. In Daniel Chapter 2, the prophet Daniel interprets the dream of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar. The dream involved a giant statue with body parts that represented a series of great Kingdoms throughout history. The final kingdom however, has a very unique description:

40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

The final Kingdom on Earth before the Second Coming of Christ Jesus The Lord, appears to be a “hybrid” Kingdom represented by iron and clay. And one of the factions of this kingdom will try to “mingle themselves with the seed of men.” This is a very powerful passage as it is discussing human reproduction. The Biblical term “seed” is always in reference to the conception and birthing process. And the “seed of men” is a reference to human reproduction. So who are the “they” that are trying to mingle with humanity? It’s not aliens, it is the fallen angelic beings repeating their sins of Genesis chapter 6.

The occult and satanic references continue here. Interestingly enough Perry makes the point that his blog has been driving home in every alien article. There are not “extra-terrestrial beings.” What is being viewed as aliens are in fact inter-dimensional beings. They are spiritual beings, not life from another planet. And here Perry shows her agreement. We then see her show the great benefits of her ET. This futuristic lover has opened her eyes. And of course, this reference goes right back to Satan in the Garden of Eden, and the deception he used on Eve to lead her into sinning against The Lord:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtile than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Notice Satan’s initial plan of attack and deception. The first thing he does is misquote The Lord by asking if God told Eve that she could not eat ANY of the fruit of the Garden. In addition to lying to Eve by changing the words God had said in instructing Adam and Eve, Satan then made his grand offer for why sinning by eating from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would be worth it: your eyes shall be opened. This occult reference to eyes being opened and achieving “godhood” is the primary goal of many occult orders and secret societies throughout the ages.

And here is the union. It all leads back to the alien/angelic being having relations with the human woman. The lyrics speak for themselves in this regard. UPDATE: The E.T. Video

Now that the video for “E.T.” has come out, an updated analysis was necessary. The video is actually mundane by Hollywood standards as most of it are shots of Parry and co-artist Kanye West floating in space. While Perry is obviously intended to resemble an alien of some sort (who seems to be shape-shifting as the song continues), the true message in the video is not revealed until the end. It can be viewed here.

Along with the images of Perry floating in space, there are shots of a scorched and devastated Earth, with piles of charred rubble giving allusions to a post-apocalyptic setting (brief images show a case from a museum with a stuffed pigeon in it and a message indicating they had gone in extinct in the “year 2030”). Amidst the rubble, there is a small robot that appears to be powered off. Once the alien Perry leaves space and comes down to Earth, she touches the head of the robot, to reveal the image of a human face in it. She then touches the center of the robot and “brings it to life” with illuminated light now bursting from the robot’s midsection. As it rises, she then kisses the robot and light descends on the two:

The robot then transforms into a man who is bathed in light. And soon a shot reveals that Perry’s alien character’s lower section is actually that of a horse or a similar kind of animal. Thus the alien/son of god has come down to Earth, given illumination to humanity through sexual union and ushered in a new era. The old world is clearly depicted as destroyed. The alien brings in the new world. The light that the two beings look into is so bright, that even the alien needs to put on sunglasses.

Again, the idea of the angelic beings ushering in a new age is one that is embraced by the New Age movement. We have quoted noted Theosophist Benjamin Creme on this subject and again we see the New Age view on “aliens”: “…if humanity knew that the spacecraft in our skies were not ‘aliens’ but were here to aid and alleviate the suffering of humanity on this planet, and with their obviously far more advanced technology, people would demand that they are openly welcomed and their superior teaching made available to them.”

The deception is that aliens or ascended masters are here to help humanity, solve all of our problems and ultimately, help us achieve godhood as first falsely promised by the chief “E.T.”, Satan. This message can take so many forms and varieties in the many schools of thought that comprise the New Age Movement. But do not be deceived! What is important to remember is that these beings who are being channeled, spoken to and anticipated to return, are demonic. These are beings who are seeking humanity’s destruction and are not coming to help us. They are fallen angelic beings who are given one last return to Earth as part of the end times judgment:

Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. ..  7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

These are some of the fallen, evil angelic beings who return to Earth during the final end time Great Tribulation period. Notice the description: Like Perry’s character at the end of the video, they are hybrid beings, part-human, part-beast. Interestingly, they are described as being “like unto horses”, and we see in the video, Perry has legs that are similar to a horse’s. They also are described as having faces of men (which can be interpreted as just meaning human faces) and the hair of women. Finally, the fallen angels from the pit have metal breastplates which Perry also happens to be wearing in the video. If this seems like too much of a coincidence or that maybe it’s all just a coincidence, just remember that we as humans get inspiration from all sorts of sources. We know the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. It does not seem a stretch to say that evil spirits can inspire as well.

Katy’s Background

Katy Perry is now famously or infamously known for first being a “Christian” recording artist. She wears a tattoo that reads “Jesus” on her wrist. Her parents were very devoted Pentecostal ministers who “spoke in tongues” in the charismatic fashion (which is unbiblical). At just 17 she was being trumpeted as a part of a new generation of Christian singers. It is still baffling that so many church across the nation are pushing young children into the same music industry that is producing so much sin-glorifying music (to her parents credit, they have at least publicly criticized Perry’s raunchy pop music). Since leaving that Christian music scene behind, Perry has taken a turn towards sexed-up, raunchy and sin-filled imagery. She is constantly parading in skimpy outfits, showing off as much as flesh as possible. While her videos are filled with sexual innuendo (so much so, that I have opted not to put images from them in this article). In her smash hit song, “California Gurlz”, Perry invokes a great deal of occult imagery, while being played off as a happy, teen in a candy filled play world. Perry at one point is walking through a virtual forest made of candy canes. The tall candy canes then turn into serpents. Perry then climbs a candy cane to the sky, at which point she is then seen nude floating on a cloud. And gives a knowing at the camera that everything is okay now. The serpent leading to ascension leading to godhood, once again.

Perry’s rise to fame occurred with her mega-hit single “I Kissed a Girl” a song which celebrates homosexual exploration by young girls. How anyone who claims to still be a Christian could make a song such as this, is mind boggling (unless of the course, the person is a not a Christian). Perry has become a hit with a huge following of young girls and teens. Like many young female stars before, professing to be “Christian”, Perry has achieved star status by promoting sexual promiscuity, sinful rebellion and a complete lack of regard for anything Christian. Many artists and entertainers claim their belief in God while their fruits, actions and words show a whole different agenda. Again, we can only warn parents to keep this music and sin-filled influence out of your homes. As Christians we are to not part with the unfruitful work of darkness.

What Does the Bible Say?

To no surprise, The Lord has strong words for the type of influence Ms. Perry is wielding in the world today. Matthew 18:6 reads: But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea..” The corruption of children and the youth is a very serious offense. Ms. Perry’s music (her album is called “Teenage Dream”) is targeting young adolescent girls and encouraging them to run into sinful behavior. Meanwhile with the major media sources backing her and promoting her, families across the world are deceived into seeing her as a “bubbly pop star” who is suitable for their children to listen to. And this is just deception.

Conclusion

The lyrics of the “E.T.” song are just one more example of the strange and stunning references to Bible prophecy and the occult in the pop culture entertainment of today. Is this a part of predictive programming, aimed at the subconscious of music listeners to prepare them for a future age when “E.T.” do arrive on Earth? Is it all just a means to confuse the belief system of society’s youth? Either is possible. There is no question however, that that the music and imagery is promoting sinful rebellion. As Christians, we should always use discernment with any entertainment we allow into our homes or to pass in front of our eyes. And we should know to look at the fruits of an artist, not just their statements about their faith. As for Ms. Perry, we should pray for her to have true, Biblical repentance and start to truly serve The Lord instead of money.

Mexico Mandates That All Children Be Issued Biometric ID Cards

All your personal information - now on one chip

World Net Daily reported on the Mexican Government’s recent Executive order to issue biometric ID cards to all children 17 years old and younger that will contain personal information, all ten fingerprints and an iris scan. Biometric Identification is able to store personal physical identifiers on a person (i.e., your fingerprints or images of your iris, which are unique to every individual) and have the microchip with the data placed on a card which can be scanned for verification of one’s identity.

To carry out the presidential executive order, the Mexican Directorate General of the National Population Register plans to go to all elementary schools in Mexico schools in Mexico to record the required biometric information and issue individual identity cards. According to the article:

The Mexican National Institute of Geography and Statistics estimates that in 2005, there were 10.5 million Mexicans between 5 and 9 years old, 11 million between 10 and 14 years old, and 10 million between 15 and 19 years old.

Reasonable estimates are that by the end of 2012, Mexico plans to issue more than 25.7 million biometric identity cards to the nation’s children 18 years old and younger.

Again, we see technology that can provide full identification becoming more and more of a reality. Now that personal data can be stored on a chip and consolidated into one convenient card, how long before our financial data, credit card and baking information is contained on the card as well? Thus allowing all buying and selling to be done on one easy card, with no chance for identity theft. The benefits to society of a system like this would be obvious. And where this can all lead from a Bible prophecy standpoint is even more obvious. The prior article entitled “What Does the Bible Say About The New World Order”, detailed how Revelation Chapter 13 of the Bible describes an end time world, ruled by the Antichrist and predicated one a globalized, one world government, a single, unified religion for all people and an economic system that is also used by the entire world. The final end-times economy will be centered on a system with an individual “mark” for all people of the world that will control all buying and selling.

Revelation 13:¹⁶ And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:¹⁷ And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

While we cannot say what the mark is or will look like, the technological capabilities to institute such a system have now clearly arrived. Never before has humanity had the capability to create a single object through which all financial transactions can be conducted. But of course with today’s data storage and satellite transmission technology, it’s very feasible and easy to implement.

Potential Precursor to the North American Union?

In addition to serving as an ID card for Mexicans, the planned roll out of the biometric ID will also help facilitate the “Global Entry Trusted Traveler” Program, a joint initiative between the United States, Mexico and Canada whose stated goal is:

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Though intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program. Participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at select airports

The Trusted Traveler program members will have their biometric information stored in a database, similar to the plan for Mexican children. And upon entry into a US airport:

At airports, program participants proceed to Global Entry kiosks, present their machine-readable U.S. passport or permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and make a customs declaration. The kiosk issues the traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit.

Easy access to the US, at the tip of your fingers

The Canadian Border Services are doing their part by issuing a Trusted Traveler Card as a part of their FAST program (Free and Secure Trade). This will provide the same facilitated easy access across the Canadian border for those who are deemed “trusted” based on background check and in-person interview.

So what is the significance of this? Like the European Union, which has a similar type of ID for easy travel across the borders of member nations, the United States, Mexico and Canada are taking another step towards becoming at least for economic, trade and security purposes, a confederacy or Union. This effort under President George W. Bush was known as the Security and Prosperity Partnership or SPP. Now it has taken a new name as the Obama administration refers to it as the North American Leader’s Summit. Their own stated goal, as detailed on their webpage, states: “Indeed, in the 21st century, North America is defined not simply by our borders, but by our bonds.”

Since the meeting more initiatives have been advanced including a “Beyond the Border” declaration between the US and Canada, signed by President Obama which seeks to establish a “continental perimeter” that would encourages such measures as having Canadian law enforcement working in America. The Toronto Star reported that the government of Canada instructed employees and officials to keep the negotiation of the deal confidential until announcement.

American University Professor and Council on Foreign Relations member, Robert Pastor, has been outlining the steps necessary for a North American Union in published articles, presentations and most notably in his book: “Building a North American Community.” According to the World Net Daily article, the Beyond the Border Declaration takes its language from Pastor’s book “almost verbatim.”

Conclusion

As explained in the New World Order article,  global confederations are all a part of the governmental structure that will be in place right before the end-times Great Tribulation begins. Like Europe, Africa and soon South America, the United States is also moving the wheels towards a North American confederation of its own. While we cannot know the dates of when these things will come to pass, the signs of the end times are certainly increasing with each passing week.

In a piece of good news in the struggle to protect life in the womb, the National Black ProLife Coalition issued a statement thanking the Congress for voting to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider (a vote in the Senate is still pending).

The NBPC has also applauded the efforts of Congressman Paul Baron for speaking out on the fact that African American women are by far the most targeted for abortions in the United States by Planned Parenthood.

“Under the guise of family planning, black babies have been aborted at 5x the rate of whites, yet Planned Parenthood clamors for more, wanting taxpayer dollars to continue funding their genocidal agenda”, said Arnold Culbreath of Protecting Black Life. “As they rush to turn 100% of their clinics into abortion mills and build larger facilities in urban areas where blacks reside, it is clear they are carrying out their founder’s Negro Project, designed to control black births.”

As we have shown in previous articles, Planned Parenthood has a history rife with racism and genocide targeted at ethnic minorities, especially African Americans.

LiveAction, the college student-run organization that does sting operations to expose Planned Parenthood’s illegal practices, is also again sounding the alarm to legislators as Planned Parenthood not only turns a blind eye to potential statutory rape, but also provided services and even business advice to undercover actors posing as pimps working with teen prostitutes.
President Obama, the nation’s first Black President, recently criticized the LiveAction videos, saying:

“I think some of these issues get manufactured and they get a lot of attention on the blogosphere,” Obama responded. “I think that Planned Parenthood, in the past, has done good work.”

Congressmen Mike Pence, who is sponsoring the bill to defund Planned Parenthood, provided some clarity: “”The headlines and years of investigations speak for themselves. In 2002, Parenthood was found civilly liable in Arizona for failure to report statutory rape. In 2008 it violated reporting laws in Indiana and California. In 2009 it instructed a girl in Tennessee to lie about her age so she could get an abortion without her parents’ knowledge,” he stated.

It’s clear that despite being an icon, pioneer and hero in the African American community, President Obama is set on continuing a pro-life agenda and ignoring the tragic racist history of the abortion industry. As Christians, we should be ready to speak out against the killing of children in the womb as well as any racism in society. And of course, pray The President, members of the Senate and those in the community at large, have a change of heart.

Biblical Principles

Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. .

Many people have followed the recent descent of Disney Child Star Miley Cyrus into raunchy, rebellious behavior, which most recently included photos of her taking the drug salvia, an herb that has hallucinogenic effects on its users (and is legal in California). The one time squeaky clean, “Christian” TV star and singer has millions of adoring child fans of her “Hannah Montana” tv show, movies and music, making her wealthy many times over. And now 18, she has, like many Disney stars before her, taken a plunge into becoming a sexed up, rebellious young adult who seems to be publicly promoting her new, “wild-child” image in various outrageous performances, leaked photos and videos on the internet.

Rather than delving into the various “scandals” of Miley Cyrus over the past 2 years, I want to focus on her parents, since she, like all children are a product of the discipline, instruction and care, or lack thereof, of her parents or guardians (please note, that this does not excuse Miley Cyrus’ behavior), What makes her story interesting though is that this is the first time where a parent has spoken out about this issue in spiritual terms. Music Star, Billy Ray Cyrus, the father of Miley Cyrus, in a leaked interview with GQ, first reported by the Daily News, expressed total regret regarding the immense fame and commercial success of his daughter and the damage it wreaked on his family:

Among the most startling revelations is an admission that “Hannah Montana” “destroyed” his family and his fear that 18-year-old Miley could possibly end up meeting the same tragic fate that befell controversial stars that came before her – namely, Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain and Anna Nicole Smith.

“Every time something happened in Miley’s career, every time the train went off the track, if you will – Vanity Fair, pole-dancing, whatever scandal it was – her people, or as they say in today’s news, her handlers, every time they’d put me … ‘Somebody’s shooting at Miley! Put the old man up there!’” Billy Ray told the magazine about why he used to have such a strong public presence in his daughter’s life.

In addition to being manipulated by who he called Miley’s “handlers” to be a defensive Dad every time his daughter ended up in an embarrassing scandal, Mr. Cyrus also stated that the devil was behind the current crisis his family is facing:
Billy Ray didn’t place all the blame on those currently in Miley’s life. There are also evil forces at work, he claimed.

“Somewhere along this journey, both mine and Miley’s faith has been shaken,” he said. “That saddens me the most.”
His family, Billy Ray argued, is now being ruined by Satan.
“No doubt,” he insisted. “There’s no doubt about it.”

This is the true enemy of not just the Cyrus family, but all families: the Devil. God’s order was for a man to leave his parents, join a woman in permanent marriage and raise children in a monogamous relationship centered on His Word and righteousness. Satan, in his efforts to to undo and reverse God’s order, has been attacking the family unit since the first family of humanity. Not only did Satan seduce Eve into doubting God’s Word and thus eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 3), the sin continued with their children as Cain, the first son of Adam and Eve, slew his brother Abel in a fit of jealousy (Genesis 4). Jesus had his own statement on the matter as well in the book of John:

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

In drawing this contrast, Jesus Christ pointed out the agenda of our spiritual enemy: Satan and his army of fallen angelic beings – to take as much from humanity and lead us into damnation.

Occult Influence

A Black Swan or a Fallen Angel?

Like many of the big music stars of today, Miley Cyrus’ videos have taken a turn towards the occult. Occult imagery is now becoming pervasive in music videos of young pop stars (a long overdue blog on this issue is coming soon). In here 2010 video, the aptly titled “Can’t Be Tamed”, a scantily-clad Cyrus is said to be making a statement about becoming a woman and “breaking out of her innocent, squeaky clean image. In her own words: “It’s the first step of growing up.”

An opening scenes shows visitors in a museum being led by a curator to see “..the rarest creature on Earth, known as Avis Cyrus.” The group is then led to a cage, where Miley Cyrus is in costume, dressed in a small black outfit and sporting enormous black wings. While the immediate reference that comes to mind can be a dark angel or fallen angel, the name choice of Avis also holds significance:

The Roman satirist Juvenal wrote in 82 AD of rara avis in terris nigroque simillima cygno (‘a rare bird in the lands, and very like a black swan’).[6] He meant something whose rarity would compare with that of a black swan, or in other words, as a black swan did not exist, neither did the supposed characteristics of the ‘rare bird’ with which it was being compared. The phrase passed into several European languages as a popular proverb, including English, in which the first four words (a rare bird in the land) are often used ironically. For some 1500 years the black swan existed in the European imagination as a metaphor for that which could not exist.

Interestingly enough there is a movie currently out called “Black Swan” the deals with a woman dealing with multiple personality disorders and mind control, who is encouraged and pressured by her handlers to “break free” of her shell. This is of course achieved through fornication and sexual exploration. (A very good detailing of the occult significance of that movie can be found here).

Conclusion

I applaud Mr. Cyrus for recognizing the true cause of the problems in all of us: sin, which was initiated in this world by Satan’s temptation. But the question remains, does he recognize the solution is salvation in Jesus Christ? Like many superstars before her, Miley Cyrus has fallen for the best Satan has to offer : money, power and fame. The cost though was any type of respectable image she had as a child role model, her own family and possibly her soul. Is Miley Cyrus saved? Of course it is possible, but from her own statements about her faith in the past, it is not clear. She stated in 2007 that she wanted to be a “light and testimony” for god but there were no public statements regarding her salvation that I could locate. Either way, her father’s pain and frustration should be a cautionary tale to parents yet again to raise their children to love and fear The Lord and to control what their kids are watching and listening to. Many of the pop stars of today, even the kiddie ones, are operating as tools of the world, promoting sinful rebellion every chance they get. Parents have an obligation to protect their home from these influences and pray for God’s guidance so they do not have the same regrets Mr. Cyrus is now experiencing.

In our first article about the ABC series “V” we went through many details to explain how the show promotes the idea of alien beings coming to Earth as the “saviors” of the planet and how this idea, which is also promoted by many figures in the New Age Movement, is one of that is very spiritually dangerous and can lead to much confusion in the church. As stated before, I do not believe in extra-terrestrial beings but the Bible is clear that fallen angelic and demonic beings do exist, have interacted with humanity in the past and will do so again in the future. Now in its second season, some of this blog’s initial predictions about the show have come to pass.

The Sons of God and the Daughters of Men

In our intial article we referenced the Nephilim, the hybrid offspring of the fallen angels of Genesis 6, who came to Earth, took human women as wives and had children with them:

Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

This illicit union by rebellious angels led to the global flood in which Noah and his family were spared on the ark. And as predicted, not only was this an important plot point on the V series, it has now been revealed in season 2 that this is the ultimate agenda of the alien Visitors on the show. Their leader, Anna, has offered a “gift” to humanity in the form of new cities which the aliens and humans can build together for peaceful coexistence. But the this gift is merely a ruse to sneak in alien “breeding vessels” into the Earth’s atmosphere and over these cities. Once the ships have landed, human will be taken aboard for breeding with male aliens. Again, we see the sins of Genesis chapter 6 being played out in pop culture. It is at this point we must remember the Biblical prophecy regarding this happening in the end-times:

The End Time Kingdom – Mingled With the Seed of Men?

The Book of Daniel tells us that rulers in the end-time Kingdom will 2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. The phrase “seed of men” is a direct reference to reproduction and DNA. The idea that something other than man will try to join itself to man.

In ancient times, angels, false gods and titans were worshiped and venerated. They attempted to replace the true God of the Bible and “be like the most High” (Isaiah 14). This is covered more in detail in the Nephilim article. And Jesus warned: Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. If there is an “alien phenomenon” today it is certainly spiritual beings deceiving mankind, not extra-terrestrial life.

The Bible also informs us in the book of Revelation, of two instances when fallen angelic beings return to Earth:

Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.. 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

As was explained in the Nephilim article, the bottomless pit is where the Bible instructs us that the angels who sinned with human women were imprisoned:

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Both passages reference angels who were imprisoned for fornication-related sins in the time of Noah. The angels who participated in the “marriage” with women were sentenced by God to be imprisoned in the bottomless pit until the time “judgment of the great day.” It is this author’s belief this time period is the “Day of The Lord”, the end times outpouring of God’s wrath on the unbelieving world which commences at the opening of the 6th seal of Revelation Chapter 6. Also interesting to note is that in the supernatural appearance of these beings, their faces are like those of human men (also of note is that the King of the bottomless pit is Appolyon, which is just another name for the ancient god Apollo).

The second instance of fallen angelic beings returning to Earth occurs in Revelation Chapter 12:

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. …12… Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

During the midst of the final years of Earth or the Great Tribulation, fallen angelic beings will be banished from Heaven and sent to Earth. And this event is so distressing that a voice in Heaven cries “woe” for all the people living on the Earth at that time. Just as in the days of Noah when the floods of God’s judgment came from rain from the skies and water bursting from the ground, we see that the end times judgment in the form of evil angelic beings will come from both the sky and the bottomless pit. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be

The Vatican Joins with The Visitors

Another point made in our first “V” article regarded their reference to the Vatican’s real life statements regarding alien life. Lo and behold, in Season 2, not only do the aliens visit the Vatican, they make a pact to have the Vatican support the aliens in their statements and sermons. This allegiance (done in an episode called “Unholy Alliance”) is made after Anna demonstrates a “blue energy” alien power that she threatens will cause the people of the world to view her technology as “miracles.” The show continually makes subtle references to Anna being a “god” in the eyes of the people (and some not so subtle, as they had people actually worshiping her in the first season).

The religious and spiritual overtones here are quite obvious. Note at the :18 second mark that the alien leader Anna, is positioned in front of a statue of the Virgin Mary. Like in the image at the top of this article, where she in the “Virgin with child” pose, she is being presented as a juxtaposition. Discerning Christians will note that while Mary was the birth mother of Jesus and a believer, she is not to be worshiped or venerated in any special position.

Some other interesting plot points from Season 2:

The aliens caused a “Red rain” to fall from the sky all over the Earth in the season premier. While this liquid was to truly help with human female fertility for “breeding” the aliens explained that it would solve the problems of global warming and human pollution. This was exactly what New Age guru and promoter of Maitreya, Benjamin Creme said about alien life forms as quoted in our initial article.

In addition to the Catholic Church, the alien leader Anna is seeking to bring all religions of the world into alliance with the Visitors. Revelation 13 informs us that all people will worship the end-times antichrist. Could it be that the end time religion will start heading towards an ecumenical, “all paths lead to Heaven” religion? Events of today certainly seem to indicate that.

Humans are easily seduced and deceived by the Visitors

Tyler, the son of the lead character and alien Resistance leader Erica, is discovered to have DNA that is missing certain components. To no surprise, the aliens on “V” are obsessed with human genetics and have secretly been experimenting on human women for reproductive purposes for decades. Tyler was once such subject and his DNA was altered for something else to be added to it, as the show explains. He is now a central figure as the alien Queen plans to have Tyler “mate” with her own daughter, who will soon be queen. In the original pilot episode of the series, Tyler is even offered an apple by the his future alien breeding partner, a clear allusion to the “forbidden fruit” of the Garden of Eden and the temptation of the serpent, Satan.

Why is this being done?

I have received some very good feedback to this article and to my radio show on the same subject and I wanted to address several issues:

1) How can TV affect what people think — The website Vigilant Citizen (an excellent site that I visit frequently) has a thorough, well-researched article on the effects of the Mass Media on the human psyche. By citing many experts in the fields of brain study, psychology as well as public relations, it details how motion pictures and television can influence the human subconscious and guide future thinking and decisions by the individual recipients. I would definitely recommend reading this piece.

We must also remember that the Bible speaks of the spiritual influences that can affect us unwittingly. Ephesians 2 states:

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

This passage is drawing a contrast between born again believers who have been “quickened” or given eternal life through Jesus Christ, with unsaved people who are still spiritually “dead” in their sins. In verse 2 identifies that the “course of the world” is guided by the “prince of the power of the air.” This is another name for Satan. And the verses states that his spirit is working in the hearts of unsaved people. There are spirits of evil at work against us all the time. This is why Paul also states in the same book:

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The enemies of Christians and the non-believer alike are spiritual powers and we cannot underestimate their ability to influence us. And the mass media provides a platform to expose the human mind to sin, occult imagery and all manner of ungodly behavior. This is why the Bible repeatedly warns us to be in control of our minds (Galatians 5:22) and to control whatever is influencing us (Romans 6:12-13, 1 Corinthians 6:9-12; James 4:6-7).

2. Do TV and movie directors know all about these ancient Biblical concepts like Nephilim and fallen angels?

— While it may seem unlikely that hollywood writers are taking these ideas into account when drafting their scripts, the similarities and parallels to Bible prophecy are difficult to ignore. I do not believe writers are all sitting together and making deals about these ideas, but there is no accounting for where one gets their inspiration from. To see another example, here is an ad for the Axe men’s body spray:

I believe the ideas and imagery in the ad speaks for itself.

Conclusion

While we do not know when the Great Tribulation will begin or what role “alien life” will play in the future, we do know for certain from the Bible that fallen angelic beings are going to return to the Earth. And Jesus’ main warning to His disciples was “do not be deceived.” The end times will be marked by it, both in society and in the church itself. Will Christian be ready for the appearance of supernatural beings or beings presenting themselves as “extra-terrestrials”? Are pastors preaching about Bible prophecy on these topics so that believers can be confident that the Bible does indeed have answers for this and so that they can share this knowledge with others? It is definitely time that we start doing so.

Rick Warren’s New Age Diet Plan

1 Kings 12:28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 29And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan. 31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi. 32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made. 33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

The year has just gotten underway but already we see that there is disturbing news in the church. The passage about King Jeroboam above was referenced to show an example of what happens when the concern for maintaining Biblical standards declines in a society. Not only can a nation become corrupted but its very religious institutions will as well. Jeroboam, out of concern for maintaining his power in the Northern Kingdom, set up false temples of worship for the Israelites of the North so they would not have to go to Jerusalem in the Southern Kingdom for worship. He not only violated numerous mosaic laws in the way he did this, he even brought back the dreaded golden calf idol which had angered God back in Exodus. And such is the case with churches in America today. The spiritual decline in America has led to churches becoming watered down and less concerned with following God. The result: a false worship. Rick Warren is taking this to new extremes with his “Daniel Plan” a spiritual diet plan named in tribute to Daniel and his fellow Israelites who refused to eat the meals offered by the pagan Kingdom of Babylon and still were far healthier than their gentile counterparts.

Many sites, including World View Times have done very thorough articles detailing that in implementing this plan, Warren has yoked himself up with Doctors Daniel Amen, Mark Hyman and Mehmet OZ, all of whom are involved in and are proponents of various spiritual practices such as Sufi Islam, the teachings of Mystic Emanuel Swedenborg, transcendental meditation and yoga among other things.

Now in order to really get a feel for what the Daniel Plan was about I went on the website to read the materials and watch the videos offered. Most of it is very straightforward health advice. None of the above pagan/New Age practices were mentioned in anything that I viewed on Warren’s Saddleback Church website. But the problem comes with the fact that Warren is strongly and wholeheartedly endorsing these doctors and their work, including their books and TV shows in which these unbiblical practices are advocated. It is a very mixed message to his congregation, Christians at large and the unbelieving world to be so in support of men who are such strong proponents of these ideas. For example, a brief scan of Dr. Oz’s own website takes you right to a page that teaches you to “Meditate to Lose Weight.” Yet, Warren has no problem proclaiming in videos his love for Dr. Oz’s work.

Additionally, the rhetoric on the site does lean towards globalism as we are told by Dr. Hyman that we need to live in “community” and the “individuals” will not survive in our future world of “group living.” Warren has repeatedly pushed for an ecumenical movement and merging of religious beliefs and this is just a continuation of it. There is no mention of Jesus anywhere on the pages of the Daniel Plan. And almost no urging to live a Christian life or serve God in what is being done in the Plan.

The sad thing in all of this is that Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not abstain from the Babylonian meals being given to them to be more fit, lose weight or get ready for beach season. They rejected the food being given because they believed and followed the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The God of the Bible. And they refused to compromise any of their beliefs by mixing what God had declared as clean and pure foods with the unclean meals being offered by the Babylonians. Their refusal to compromise God’s Word and mix in with other belief systems is exactly what Warren is doing by being yoked with these three doctors and endorsing their work so strongly. We can only pray that amidst his efforts to lose 90 lbs, he also loses his repeated desire to forget about Biblical principles.

UPDATE: In another sign of the spiritual dangers of the doctors Rick Warren is promoting, Christian Research Network informed that Dr. Oz just recently planned a mass hypnosis through the television to help his viewers lose weight. Again, Rick Warren’s endorsement of doctors who use these spiritually dangerous methods is just error on his part.

New iPhone App Can Read Your Mind

Yes, this device is real.

It is my belief that technology is directly related to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Prophecies such as the Mark of the beast, a mark in the skin through which all goods on the planet are bought and sold could not even be conceivable until the innovations of computer technology of the past few decades. We also see prophecies such as that of the killing of the two witnesses of Revelation Chapter 11. The Bible tells us that the whole world are able to see their dead bodies in the street for three and a half days. Again, this can only be possible via satellite television.

Well now we see technology going even farther as there is an app and headset for the iPhone that can actually read your brainwaves. It allows the user to control the phone just by using their mind as well help you control your attention span and adjust “relaxation levels.”

The manufacturer of the device, Xwave assures on its website: “Yes. XWave is perfectly safe and ONLY LISTENS to your brainwaves. It DOES NOT transmit or send any signals.” Just the fact that they have to give this disclaimer is a little disturbing since the potential to send signals to the mind seems to be indicated.

Where is this all going? We will have to wait and see but the more we allow technology to enter our minds and bodies, the more realistic Bible prophecy becomes.
